The Principal

“Multiple Pathways for Every Student”

Pasadena High School is a vibrant school with a clear vision, multiple pathways leading to a future for all students. The experience and expertise of Principal, Wendy House, leads the school to its directional point of achieving a clear pathway and transition process for students. Letting leaners complete their education so they leave the secondary school environment with a qualification of value aligned to specific skills.

The strength of Pasadena is exactly this position. As by the time each student has finished school, they will be able to realise their potential and have a clear understanding of where they want to be and how they are able to best get there.

This goal is achieved through the school focusing on developing competency based students who navigate their education through delivery of curriculum, skills and behaviour. The delivery of curriculum builds on the strength of both Middle and Senior schools, with a strong focus on the new Australian Curriculum.

The school's new Site Improvement Plan engages the multiple pathways approach through embracing the importance of literacy and numeracy. Whilst emphasising the health sciences, sport and recreation and the apprenticeship opening Doorways 2 Construction Program.

For students this means one thing, the completion of their SACE and direction towards university, TAFE, apprenticeships or work. For staff the provision of inspiration and encouragement focused on developing relationship aids in achieving this.

Pasadena lets its students look beyond the walls of the school to openings towards their futures, not just as students but as young adults contributing to society.
